Coastal Kenya Health Retreats

Our Kenya Health Retreats are being offered approximately one time each year. Currently, our focus is to focus on our Hawaii Retreats but we will continue our Kenya Retreats in the near future. If you would like to make a reservation for either location, we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.

We purchased a 12 acre land in the Tana Delta District of Kenya in May 2006.  The land was a very thick forest surrounded by more forest that has been inhabited by many money monkeys, baboons, bushbabies, and natural wildlife.  Immediately we began clearing the land and building our first structures utilizing all natural ecological materials.  We constructed 4 main cement houses, 2 bandas for storing food, and toilet and bathing facilities.  We also dug 2 wells through very hard rock in search of clean, healthy water for drinking and watering our plants.

Immediately following this first major construction project, we began propagating fruit trees, planting bananas, papayas, and many types of vegetables.  Soon we began planting many varieties of fruit trees and creating vegetable gardens in order to properly nourish ourselves as we worked very hard to create a farm that would be able to very healthfully feed many people seeking to improve their health.

We have successfully donated nearly 5,000 fruit trees to the surrounding community of people and schools.  We are growing 20 varieties of bananas which are producing far more bananas than we can consume on the farm.  We are producing more papayas than we need and we have been successfully growing many green vegetables, tomatoes, peppers, and other healthy nourishing plants.  This past year we built our first kitchen, 4 tree houses, and 2 permanent picnic sites.  The entire farm is populated with many varieties of young fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
